It changed my life. I now know that sex can wait until marriage and even though I love the person I'm dating, I can wait.
I knew most of the things she was talking about already from my mom, but it was comforting to hear it from someone who's not a relative.

It is a blessing to have found my way to the WCC. I was thrilled to accept a position where there was a mission that so closely mirrored my own. It is my desire to bring dignity and light to those dealing with the difficult decisions associated with crisis pregnancies and premarital sexual activity. I have been an RN since June 1984, primarily in obstetrics at St. Vincent Health Center. I first began working in December of 2007 at WCC Medical Services as a Nurse Manager. Upon learning more about the WCC, I was also drawn to the Education Division, and soon my opportunities expanded to include the role of Cessation Counselor. I hope to provide a resource to all those that may want to choose secondary abstinence with referrals from schools, the Erie County Department of Health or the community. At the WCC I have discovered some of the most energetic and driven people with whom one could ever wish to work. I live in Erie and have been blessed with a dedicated husband and five beautiful children.

Patti has a wealth of experience, training, and enthusiasm, both personally and professionally! Her career background ranges from computer technology and sales, to childbirth education. Patti's paralegal degree launched her into the practice of extensively and thoroughly researching any topic. This has greatly enhanced her knowledge base of sexual health issues, which grew from her need to educate her own children in healthy choices. Patti has been with the Women's Care Center since 1999, primarily as a sexual health and childbirth educator, and as Parent Outreach coordinator. Patti and her husband Doug are parents of four children.

The newest addition to the Education Division, Michelle joined the team in September 2008. She is working on a degree in Business Management and is excited about the different opportunities and projects she will be involved in here at the WCC. She is also training to be a certified pregnancy counselor. Michelle volunteers as the Director of Children's programming at her church and is also occasionally involved in the music ministry. She enjoys hanging out with her friends and family in her spare time.
Stephanie began her involvement with the Women's Care Center as a volunteer counselor in 1985. After several years in that capacity Stephanie went to work in the political arena, eventually serving U.S. Senator Rick Santorum. She worked for twelve years in the Erie District office as a Constituent Service Representative, and then as Community and Economic Development Coordinator in four counties in northwest Pennsylvania. As a result, Stephanie developed relationships with many community leaders and facilitated grants for many non-profit and faith based organizations. Stephanie came to the Education Division in the winter of 2008 and has been using her networking skills to connect with the community. Stephanie's husband David runs a general contracting business and they have 5 children and 3 grandchildren
