TESTIMONIALS

This program has really opened my eyes. Before it I was undecided toward how I felt about sex and abstinence, but I realized my future is so important to me and I am not going to put it at risk for a guy!

This abstinence program has influenced me a lot. I have made some bad decisions in my life and it showed me that I am able to start over and make better decisions in the next chapter of my life.

About

Mission Statement

Our Education Division is an empowering, relationship and character-focused primary prevention program providing education, support and community outreach services to children, youth and adults throughout Erie County, primarily through the public schools.

History

In 1982, the Women's Care Center (WCC) of Erie County, Inc. was founded as a non-profit agency.  Its primary focus was on women and their families before, during, and after a crisis pregnancy.  The goal of the WCC is to provide compassionate and supportive care, information and practical assistance, thereby bringing hope and opportunity to women in crisis.

Upon hearing clients express disappointment and frustration at the lack of education and preparation for such a crisis, the WCC expanded in 1996 to include the Education Division.  Originally named the Abstinence Advantage Program (AAP), and now affectionately renamed to WC2ed, the division exists as a primary prevention measure seeking to provide education, support and outreach services to Erie PA and the surrounding counties.

The Education Division offers numerous services and educational opportunities filled with empowering relationship and character-focused programming for youth and adults in our community.  Our services are flexible to any situation or population and are available upon individual or community request.
